Mr. Pangilinan assumed the chairmanship of the Board of Piltel on November 3, 2004. He is also the Chairman of PLDT, Smart, ePLDT, Inc. and Metro Pacific Investments Corporation. He is the Managing Director of First Pacific Company Limited and President Commissioner of P.T. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk. From November 1998 to February 2004, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of PLDT and led its successful transformation from a traditional plain old telephony service (voice) into a convergent voice, data and video (multi-media) service. Mr. Pangilinan was named the “Management Man of the Year 2005”, a prestigious award that the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) bestows on individuals in the business community or government for attaining unquestionable distinction in the practice of management and for contributing to the country's progress. Mr. Pangilinan graduated cum laude from the Ateneo de Manila University, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. He received his Master's Degree in Business Administration from Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Nazareno was elected as President and Chief Executive Officer of Piltel on November 3, 2004, after serving as Chairman of the Board since February 2003 and, prior to that, as President and Chief Executive Officer from November 1998 to January 2003. He is concurrently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Smart and PLDT, positions he has held since January 2000 and February 2004, respectively. He also serves as President of ACeS Philippines Cellular Satellite Corporation and Chairman of Wolfac Mobile, Inc., Smart Broadband, Inc. and I-CONTACTS Corporation which are subsidiaries of Smart. His other directorships include PLDT, Smart, PLDT Global Corporation, ePLDT, Inc. and Mabuhay Satellite Corporation. He was voted Corporate Executive Officer of the Year in the Philippines at the 2004, 2005 and 2006 Best-Managed Companies and Corporate Governance Polls conducted by Asiamoney, one of Asia's most influential magazines. Mr. Nazareno obtained his Master's Degree in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management and completed the INSEAD Executive Program of the European Institute of Business Administration in Fountainbleu, France.
Mr. Chiongbian is the Chairman of FASTCARGO Logistics Corporation and FAST DISTRIBUTION Corporation. He has been Chairman of the Sacred Heart School of the Society of Jesus since 1994. He was the Chairman of WG&A from 2000 until September 2002. He completed post-graduate studies at the Center for Research and Communications (now University of Asia and the Pacific) where he obtained his Master's Degree in Business Economics.
Ms. Chua joined PLDT in 1998 as a First Vice President and has been serving as its Treasurer since February 1999 and as a Senior Vice President since February 2002. She has also been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Smart effective January 2006. She holds directorships in Smart, Wolfpac Mobile, Inc., Smart Broadband, Inc., ePLDT, Inc., Infocom Technologies, Inc. and Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the PLDT Beneficial Trust Fund and PLDT Foundation, Inc. Prior to joining PLDT, she was a Vice President at Citibank, N.A. where she worked for 10 years in the areas of corporate finance, treasury, financial control and credit risk management. Ms. Chua graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accountancy.
Mr. Diago is the Executive Vice President/Treasurer of Directories Philippines Corporation. He is the President of Asian Media Development Group, Inc., Treasurer of Cyan Management Corporation, Lacturan Holdings, Inc. and Teleperformance, Inc., and Vice-President-Comptroller of MG Exeo Network, Inc. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of PJ Lhuillier Group and is a director of Cebuana Lhuillier Bank, Cybersoft Information Technology, Inc., MIC Holdings Corp., Vinnell Belvoir Corp. and Phil. Data Networking Corporation. Until December 2000, he was the Chief Officer for Administrative and Corporate Services of Piltel. Prior to joining Piltel in 1988, he held various positions in the Alcantara Group of Companies involved in manufacturing, marketing and shipping operations. Mr. Diago obtained his Master's Degree in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce from the De La Salle University. He also attended the Strategic Business Economics Program of the Center for Research and Communication (now University of Asia and the Pacific).
Mr. Fernandez is a director and the Administration and Materials Management Head of Smart. He is concurrently Head of Smart's and PLDT's Major Capital Expenditures and Operating Expenditures screening body. He is also the Adviser to the Administration and Management Group of PLDT. He holds directorships in Wolfpac Mobile Inc., Smart Broadband, Inc., I-CONTACTS Corporation, Subic Telecommunications Company, Inc. and PLDT Clark Telecom, Inc. Mr. Fernandez has over fifteen years of experience in materials management, industrial marketing and sales. Until June 2000, he was the Executive Vice President in charge of marketing, sales and logistics of Starpack Philippines, Inc. He also worked for Union Carbide Philippines in manufacturing and industrial engineering. Mr. Fernandez obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management Engineering from the De La Salle University and Master's Degree in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management.
Mr. Filamor is the Managing Partner of EGF Advisory Services, Inc., that specializes in debt restructuring and turn around of distressed companies. He has had a long and distinguished career in banking and finance. In 1983, he was a recipient of the prestigious Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) Award for investment banking. Mr. Filamor obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the De La Salle University and Master's Degree in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management.
Mr. Go is the Chairman of Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. and ASA Philippine Foundation, Inc. He is a director of Metro Pacific Corporation/Metro Pacific Investment Corporation, Filipino Fund, Inc. and Laperal Builders, Inc. Mr. Go has more than forty years of experience in the banking business. He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the United Coconut Planters Bank from February 2002 to August 2003 and as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Asian Bank from September 1994 to February 2000. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Philippine Bank of Communications from 1974 to 1985, China Banking Corporation from 1985 to 1989 and The Philippine Banking Corporation from 1991 to 1994. He graduated magna cum laude from the Ateneo de Manila University, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and took post graduate studies in the same university.
Mr. Mojica is the Head of Wireless Consumer Division of Smart. Prior to joining Smart in June 2006, he served as the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of Cebu Pacific Air for three years. Mr. Mojica has over 20 years of experience in marketing and sales in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Pakistan. He worked for Procter and Gamble Philippines from 1983 to 1995 and became the Director for Sales of PT Procter and Gamble Indonesia in 1992. He subsequently joined San Miguel Brewery Hong Kong Ltd. where he was General Manager for Marketing and Sales for its operations in Hong Kong from May 1995 until January 1997. Prior to Cebu Pacific Air, Mr. Mojica was President of Reckitt Benkiser Indonesia, one of the world's largest manufacturers of household products. Mr. Mojica obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy from the Ateneo de Manila University and completed the 2004 Strategic Business Economics Program of the University of Asia and the Pacific. He is also a candidate for a Master's Degree in Business Economics from the same university.
Mr. Pedrosa is a partner in Redstone Nuhaus Financial Services Company and is involved in financial and consulting services, as well as real estate. He has over thirty years of experience in the banking business and served as President & Chief Executive Officer of First e-Bank from January 2000 to December 2003 and Pilipinas Bank from 1993 to 1997. Mr. Pedrosa completed his Profesorado Mercantil (Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration) at the Universidad de Barcelona, in Barcelona, Spain.
Mr. Peña is a director and the Head of Network Services Division of Smart and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Smart Broadband, Inc. He is also a director of Wolfpac Mobile, Inc., Mabuhay Satellite Corporation and Digital Paradise, Inc. Prior to joining Smart in 1994, he was the First Vice President in charge of Technical Operations of Digital Telecommunications Philippines, Inc. He has over twenty years of experience in telecommunication operations and was awarded Electronics and Communications Engineer for the year 2000 by the Institute of Electronics and Communications Engineers of the Philippines. Mr. Peña obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod Ng Maynila. He is a Fellow at the Telecommunications Management Institute of Canada (TEMIC) and attended various telecommunications management courses in Hongkong, Japan, Sweden, Finland, Spain and Germany.

Ms. Malto has been serving as the Controller of Piltel since February 3, 2003 and is concurrently a Senior Manager for Subsidiaries and Affiliates Accounting of Smart. From June 1999 to September 2000, she held the position of Senior Manager of General Accounting Department of Piltel. She was a technical advisor of Arthur Andersen in Jakarta from February 1997 to May 1999. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (Major in Accounting) from the Bicol University.
Mr. Arevalo has been serving as Treasurer of Piltel since February 3, 2003 and is concurrently a Senior Manager for Loans and Trade of Smart. From 1997 to 2000, he held the position of Manager of the Treasury Department of Piltel. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University.
Deborah Anne N. Tan, Investor Relations and Corporate Information Officer
Ms. Tan is the Corporate Information and Investor Relations Officer of Piltel and concurrently the Head of the Investor Relations Department of Smart and Special Assistant to the President. She served as the Corporate Governance Compliance Officer of Piltel from November 2002 until January 31, 2007. From April 1996 to July 2000, she held the position of Senior Manager, Corporate Communications of Piltel. Ms. Tan obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the Ateneo de Manila University and Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines.
Ms. Rausa-Chan has been serving as Corporate Secretary of Piltel since November 1998. She is a Senior Vice President, the Corporate Affairs and Legal Services Head and Corporate Secretary of PLDT. She also serves as Corporate Secretary of several subsidiaries of PLDT. Prior to joining PLDT in November 1998, she was the Group Vice President for Legal Affairs of Metro Pacific Corporation, and the Corporate Secretary of some of its subsidiaries. Ms. Rausa-Chan obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of the Philippines.
Omar C. Taccad, Assistant Corporate Secretary
Mr. Taccad has been serving as the Assistant Corporate Secretary of the Company since May 2006 and is the Head of the Subsidiaries Services Division - Corporate Affairs and Legal Services of PLDT. He also serves as Corporate Secretary of several subsidiaries of PLDT and ePLDT, Inc. He obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from the Ateneo de Manila University.
Elmer D. Nitura, Corporate Governance Compliance Officer
Mr. Nitura assumed the position of Corporate Governance Compliance Officer of Piltel effective February 1, 2007 and is concurrently the Corporate Governance Compliance Officer of Smart. Prior to joining Smart on August 1, 2006, he was the Senior Partner of Nitura Malabanan Lagunilla Mendoza & Gaddi Law Offices and Consultant of Banco de Oro Universal Bank. He was also formerly the Head of Legal and Corporate Services of Negros Navigation Company, Inc., First Vice President-Legal and Corporate Information Officer of First eBank Corporation (formerly PDCP Development Bank) and Group Legal Manager of Metro Pacific Corporation. He is also an Accredited Voluntary Arbitrator of the Department of Labor and Employment-National Conciliation and Mediation Board/National Capital Region. Mr. Nitura obtained both his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Ateneo de Manila University.
